Over the last week MillerSmiles has received many scams from the public and through its HoneyTrap scam detection system. Below we provide an analysis of the scams we have received for the week of 13th November 2010 to 20th November 2010


During the week we reported a total of 126 phishing scams

94 or 75% of these scams linked to websites that were still online and live, ready to capture personal data, when we reported them

  • 0.29% Account Verify Alert alleged sender Wachovia reported 23rd October 2010

  • 0.27% Important Account Information From HSBC BANK. alleged sender HSBC BANK reported 22nd October 2010
