MillerSmiles provides its weekly phishing analysis for the week of 23rd February 2013 to 2nd March 2013

Over the last week MillerSmiles has received many scams from the public and through its HoneyTrap scam detection system. Below we provide an analysis of the scams we have received for the week of 23rd February 2013 to 2nd March 2013


During the week we reported a total of 3 phishing scams

2 or 67% of these scams linked to websites that were still online and live, ready to capture personal data, when we reported them

  • 0.3% Re:Online Transfer alleged sender HSBC BANK UK reported 26th February 2013

  • 0.23% Notification from Visa Credit Cards alleged sender Secure Notification reported 23rd November 2009

  • 0.15% WESTERN UNION: ACCOUNT LOCKED alleged sender Western Union reported 18th April 2011

  • 0.15% RECEIPT FOR YOUR PAYMENT TO SALES@SKYPE.COM alleged sender PayPal reported 18th April 2011

  • 0.12% BANK TRANSFER / REMMITTANCE COPY. alleged sender J williams reported 22nd February 2013
