Over the last week MillerSmiles has received many scams from the public and through its HoneyTrap scam detection system. Below we provide an analysis of the scams we have received for the week of 12th July 2014 to 19th July 2014


During the week we reported a total of 19 phishing scams

13 or 68% of these scams linked to websites that were still online and live, ready to capture personal data, when we reported them

  • 0.39% NEW MESSAGE FROM HALIFAX CUSTOMER SERVICE. alleged sender Halifax reported 11th July 2014

  • 0.38% Your Paypal Account Will be banned alleged sender PAYPAL INC reported 15th July 2014

  • 0.37% Your account might be de-activated. alleged sender BT reported 15th July 2014
